Position Title: Category Associate Manager
Location: San Isidro, Lima, Peru - hybrid model 3x2
Reports to: Country Marketing Manager, Peru
As the Category Associate Manager you will be responsible for supporting merchandising, pricing implementation and sales of all product portfolio and categories of Learning & Development and Outdoor & Recreation segments. As part of achieving all category goals, you will take responsibility of the pricing exercise, local category strategy implementation, competitor's analysis, POS data and overall promotion of your product category portfolio to maximize consumer appeal. You will be the one proving insights on the local portfolio assortment needs and market specific products requests, with the ultimate objective to increase sales and profitability of the business and drive sustainable growth.

Responsibilities:
- Develop deep category knowledge across multiple categories and brands in both segments.
- Devise long-term development strategies for your product categories.
- Search and analyzes data (POS data, market research, sell-out and other reports) to provide to partner teams the most accurate insights for growth generation opportunities.
- Maintain all the competitors' information up to date to flank their actions or simply be always ahead of the game.
- Place appropriate forecast to ensure product availability that meets consumer and customer demands.
- Determine the listing strategy (customers and doors) of your product category to maximize visibility and sell-through.
- Liaise with the Marketing Manager to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of your product category.
- Identifies key promotional windows based on target consumer behavior and recommends promotion depth and frequency guidelines.
- Analyzes shopper insights and market data to recommend pricing objectives, strategies, and guardrails for key SKUs or categories.
- Team up to work on relevant assets to develop supporting materials for your categories.
- Team up to work on omnichannel strategies and activities to unlock the obstacles and drive conversion.
- Ability to take full responsibility of the complete product assortment, including accessories.
- College degree in Marketing
- Proven experience as Category manager or similar managerial role in the consumer goods/retail sector
- Solid knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles
- An analytical mind with strong strategic and planning ability, with good understanding of data analysis, forecasting methods and able to manage a range of information sources.
- Successfully launched several new products which include all the category previous analysis through commercialization and in-market success.
- Successfully managed a product portfolio.
- Deep understanding of the consumer to both short and long-term decisions and link independent insight and observations to form a holistic, proprietary understanding of the consumer and leverage as a competitive advantage.
- A strong consumer orientation
- Strong decision-making background in ambiguous environments with a bias for action.
- Demonstrated success working in a matrix environment with global or international exposure.
- Excellent communication and interaction skills.
- Advanced to fluent level of English
- 20% travel availability.
